This was an old (1988) mini from a series of humorous minis. He was titled "zoid the pinhead barbarian" but his name-bracelet says "oid".
He is 40mm foot to crown, but his head is true 25mm scale.
I painted oid for Klute's skin up with Klute class and since I hadn't put any wip photos up I entered him in the Total Testosterone comp.
The base was just flat and I wanted something simple but more interesting. I sculpted the stones out of Cernit and baked them on after having painted the rest of him. I made it so they are breaking under his massive feet.
Back in 1988 this guy was remarkable for the details. He has the bracelet, the wrist-sundial, a pinkie ring, and a tear mended on his boot. That was just phenomenal detail 17 years ago.
I did NMM frankly because I think a passable NMM is easier and much faster than good metalics and this guy became a rush at the last minute.
Well, I hope you enjoy him and leave comments.
