"I am the black raven that sleeps under your skull"
I think the words: pleasure to paint, explains perfectly what i feel for this mini.
My intention was to give him a very drak creepy look, so i went or a dark black armour and a very rusty sword, didnt want the armor to look as NMM, so just gave it very subtle lighting with blue and grey, due to the poor lighting the photo came very dark and the arnmours looks a bit too dark, i also gave it some shades with a dark brown, hope that shows a little the freehand drawing were made with a mix of red blue and Pale Greyblue, then highlight them with a bit of white
The fun part was the sword, for the aged steel i started with Citadel Codex Grey and highlight it up to Vallejo Pale Greyblue (907), then to white, and proceed with the funny bit. With Vallejo smoke gave a very thin wash to all the sword then continue giving washes to shade it as it comes to the hands, once i had the look i wanted mixed somke with Orange Brown and made som marks then i did the same with some Military green.
The brnce part was painted like a pale gold and then a just washed it with a mix of Military Green, Dark blue, Ice yellow and flat yellow :S i couldnt find a good colour in my collection so i had to make it.
My second try with NMM, Hope you like it
