This project took me about 6 months on and off to complete. I wanted to makes sure that the shading on this 1/6 figure was nice and gradual, especially the eyes. Plus worry'n about careful assembly of the parts has always been a challenge to me. I'm still continue'n to try to improve on my handbrushing skills compared to my previous works. I think I've made some progress, no?

The body sure looks nice, especially how you've accentuated the curves and her belly button. The black, gold and white goes well together, and I particularly like the lighting effects on the black. However, I'm not a big fan of anime style facial features, as they appear overly unrealistic and frankly unattractive in my honest opinion. The skin tones you used seem appropriate for this theme, but I don't like them overmuch. The blue of her hair is well highlighted however, so it sort of balances out the piece in a strange way. All in all, well done, but I am forced to limit my rating to an 8 for the above, mostly asthetic reasons listed above. | |
